There’s no denying that as a world, we are facing a calamity right now – we’re in a time of trouble! These are uncertain, difficult times. The author of this Psalm was David, and we know that he was no stranger to calamity and trouble! This entire Psalm focuses on how David responded when he was in a troubling situation, and we can learn a lot about what to do in our own times of trouble by looking at how he reacted. My sister and I recently shared a quick devotional thought on YouTube for our church ladies regarding this very thing.
